This memoir is a collection of fascinating stories from the life and remarkable career of a man who dedicated heart and soul to the industry he was fiercely passionate about. Known internationally simply by his first name, Bodo left an indelible imprint on the people he met and hotels he touched. Bodo’s devotion to his craft, innkeeping as he called it, was tremendous and a lifelong love afair. His leadership changed the face of the hotel business in cities around the world. From his humble start in Switzerland as a young reception and kitchen apprentice in 1946, Bodo would ultimately work and play among the Who’s Who of celebrities, business tycoons, socialites, politicians, kings, queens and dignitaries of his time.
