About the Book
Le-Anne, a 16-year-old lesbian reject, and Tyler, the sweetest, most Aspergian nine-year-old you ever saw, only seem to have one thing in common: their isolation from the small, white, upper-middle-class suburb they live in.
In a turn of events, they meet and bond, and they realize that nobody in this town is what one would expect them to be. Not everyone is as one-dimensional or carefree as they seem, when you don’t look too hard at them.
This book is recommended for ages 14+ (contains mature language & references to the existence of sex).
Barnacle Books is a small press that supports the work of young authors. Each publication is the result of a long-term consulting project, during which writers identify specific goals and strategies for their writing. We hope that our books will inspire you to take on your own writing challenges!
